Playtime at the park

With the weather getting nicer, we've been going to the park more often. The kids love it, and I love taking pictures of them! So it works out great for me, the kids exert some energy, and mommy gets to practice with her camera. Now we just need daddy to get home and run around with us!!!

This is all for you babe..

He's been asking, I've been BUSY....but I finally found time last night to take a few pictures of myself for him. I know he'll be happy. Unfortunately whenever I try to email him, he never gets them...so I will post them here. I miss him so much and we are a day away from being half way there. I can hardly wait.... Until then...enjoy these pictures babe. I love you so much...

Jumping Monkey

We recently went to a birthday party at the Jumping Monkey here in Va. Beach...and the kids LOVED it! Especially the older 2. They are too old to be allowed to play in the regular area, but for birthday parties they allow it, so they were so happy. They got to run around for an hour and of course momma was there with her camera!! I will be having one of my kids parties here soon....

This is what they are doing when i'm not looking!!!

Yes I was on the computer, turned around and they were...seeing who could build the highest tower with our canned goods!!! I laid on the floor and caught these of them...they got them pretty high...until they all came crashing down!!!

Our other little lady...

She is naughty, mischievous, and can destroy the entire house in minutes flat....but look at that face! Yea she has us completely wrapped around her little fingers...and she knows it!!! It's very difficult to be able to take her pictures lately...she sees me with the camera and she runs the other way. So bathtime seemed the best way to get any pictures of her....it worked! She at least looked at me once and smiled for me....and hey i couldn't have asked for anything more....

Our little girl, who's turning into a little lady

First off...sorry honey for not updating sooner. I've had these pics on my computer for over a week now but i've been trying to finish some clients pics and haven't had the time to post these, but I know you have been waiting...so here they are. Our little girl is getting so big...she's already to my shoulders!! By this summer I'm sure we will be sharing the same shoes...well just flats eventhough she would love to wear my heels!! This little girl has been my backbone, I know that we will be best friends when she is older. She has all the qualities I want in a friend. She's dependable, she's funny, she knows how to have a good time...and she is my daughter. I couldn't be more proud of her. While Lamont has been gone, she has been the one to step up and help me with her younger siblings. She'll cook dinner for me when I need it, she'll give her brother and sister a bath, she'll take care of me when i'm sick. Of course there are times when she acts like a typical 9 year old, but she is always there when I need her and I thank God for her. Yes I have gone on and on about my little girl, but I know she is growing up so fast and all I want to so is slow down time.... here is my beauty....

My boys...

Boys have a way to make their momma's melt. My boys are no exceptions. Looking into their big brown eyes makes me want them to stay little forever, but as I watch my oldest turn into a young man..with girlfriends (sigh) I realize that just isn't the case. So I try my hardest to capture them as much as I can. Looking at these pictures I see so much of Lamont in them. With Anthonne, he looks alot like Lamont did at that age, just with my family's features, and Mayson is all Lamont with his confidence and attitude. I hope daddy gets to see these and see how much his boys have grown.

For Daddy

This is for you baby. I can't tell you how much the kids and I miss you. You are in every thought we have, in everything we do...you are there with us. We had just come from church and got ready for bed and they wanted me to take this for you. This is your babies...in natural state...crazy hair, no shirts....just being them. I hope you know how much you are loved by all of us. For you daddy....

Playgroup at the Children's Museum

Our playgroup visited the Children's museum recently and that meant photo ops for me!! I even got to take a few of myself for my honey. I was totally digging the red doors in the bathroom....yea only a photographer would notice something like that...and then take pictures in it!!! Enjoy...

YAY...it worked...now to catch up

Ok, so it's taken since December for me to be able to post pictures on my blog. And if you know me, you know i can't post a blog without pictures!! Okay so now to update. Alot has been going on since December, when I last posted. The biggest thing was that Lamont left for a 6 month deployment. Nothing tests your love and devotion for someone more then separation. He has been gone for 2 months now, and I miss him more and more everyday. I also love him more and more everyday. Since he's been gone the kids and I have had strep throat, stomach flu, we have moved to another home, had 2 birthday parties and our 12th wedding anniversary. So we've been really busy!! Here are a few pictures from Mayson's 5th birthday and Ysabella's 2nd. We had Mayson's party at a skating rink, and I was crazy enough to throw Bella's party here at home. It turned out great though. We missed daddy alot, but we had a good time and had great friends to celebrate it with!!

Let's see if this works....

I've been trying to post pictures lately and for some reason it hasn't worked. So I'm testing it right now...let's see if it works. Here is one from my birthday party back in November....this is for you baby....

Birthday, Friends Visiting, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more....

Okay so i've slacked again!!! Time just flys and I really try hard to keep up with this. Anyway, since I last posted I have celebrated my 29th birthday in style. We had a big party and had a blast!! My friend Amber and her family were able to come through for it, and it made it even more special. Thanksgiving was filled with lots of friends and lots of food.....just how it should be! Christmas was very special this year. We didn't have any family visit, we didn't go visit anyone....it was just the 6 of us. Lamont is leaving in 9 days and that will be a whole other post in itself. But with him leaving, it really makes us appreciate the time we have together as a family. Lamont and I slept in Aly's room on Christmas Eve. We had all of our babies in one room, and that was probably the best moment this season. I hope you all were able to build memories and just enjoy your loved ones!

She's all 9

She has her daddy's eyes,my mouth ...and my grandmother's heart. She is the perfect blend of the two of us and everyday she shows us how to care about someone else more then you care about yourself. I recently took pictures of her for her invitations, and I was shocked when I looked at the results. Gone is my pigtail, cheesy grin little girl. Here is my beautiful, sweet little lady. Lamont still has a hard time looking at these pictures because he sees the little woman she's becoming. He knows his days of being her #1 are numbered. We had a modeling party for her and she had a great time. We had a photo shoot during the party and I'm still working on everyone's thank you cards. Every year that passes is bittersweet. We are so happy to see them growing, but saddened at how "grown" they are becoming. Happy Birthday to our Princess.....you're always going to be our little girl!

For my love.....

This is all for you baby. Since you can't get my emails, I told you I would post the pics here. Okay for everyone else, Lamont and I got to go out again last weekend and we had soo much fun. We went back to Peabodys, a night club on the beach, and we were a little apprehensive cause it was college night. Not to say we are THAT old...but we aren't in college either. But we figured it was $5 to get in so why not go and create our own fun. Well that's what we did, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. We got to watch some guys battle it out on the dance floor, of course we got a few laughs at some of the dances, but above all I don't think i've danced that much in years!! There's nothing like letting loose and being completely free with the one you love. I didn't care what anyone else thought there, all I cared about was making Lamont happy...and from the looks of it, i think I succeeded!

Where I've been

I'm so bad, I know. I've been M.I.A. for over a month now. I recently signed up with the big "get your own place on the web" site and have gotten a little caught up in that. It's been great cause i've been able to reconnect with so many people, but I've missed writing here, and I know that there are some special people who actually read this!! So i'm back!! I have so much to update on....our neice went out to sea for 7 months, Lamont came home after being gone 6 weeks and now he's gone again for a month, Aly just celebrated her 9th birthday in style...and so much more. So I'm going to be updating on these things and more really soon! Today we are off to a friends birthday party, then tomorrow we have a Halloween party to go to. So until next time....please check in often and I promise to have some pictures and updates on us soon!

Remembering 9-11

We had a wonderful opportunity to honor those who lost their lives on that horrible day. We participated in a Freedom Walk and it was an awesome experience. I wanted the kids to see on a deeper level why daddy is gone so much. We did this walk to not only honor the victims of 9-11 but to honor the heroes who still continue to fight for this cause. We love you daddy and we are so proud of what you do. We hope we made you proud too!

First there were FOUR and then there was.....ONE

Yes I have had my babies home with me for the last 11 years, and although it has been wonderful, so is sending them off to school and getting a little break!! Anthonne started middle school, although he was nervous he pulled through and he really seems to enjoy it. Aly was very excited to go back to the same school to start the 3rd grade. She has gone to a different school for every single year she has been in school.....sad I know, but the life of a Navy family. And finally my Mayson.....he really needed to have something of his own, especially with dad being gone, so I put him in part day preschool. He'll go 3 days a week from 9-1, and the best thing is that it's at our church! His first day was yesterday and he LOVED it! So now i'm left with Miss Bella, we are going to have fun hanging out, just the girls. I know that in no time all of my babies will be in school, and then i'll be rethinking this "growing up" thing!
